Trainee Print Estimator
This role sits at the heart of the company, between our sales team and production team working with our sales team to understand the requirements of our customer, and building and costing the right solution for them, whether that be for beautiful packaging, exhibition stands, greeting cards or any other of the one thousand jobs we produce each month. You will receive enquiries from customers and be trained how to use our Management Information System to build an estimate that becomes the foundation for getting the job through our factory.
Communication with the customer is a fundamental part of the role, you’ll need the numerical skills for job costing, but also the phone and email skills to discuss projects with customers in a confident and professional manner, convincing them that their print project is in great hands.
Essential Requirements:
- Great numerical and logic skills.
- Good Microsoft Office and administrational skills are essential.
- The ability to work well under pressure and handle enquiries in a calm and efficient manner.
- Natural problem solver.
- Fantastic organisational skills – this is a job that involves great prioritising and multi-tasking.
- Enjoy working as part of a team, with a good sense of humour.
About You
You might have some experience within the printing industry, or you might be looking for that first step into an innovative and creative industry. Whatever your experience, you’ll be able to relate to the ‘essential requirements’ above as they really do describe the attributes a great Print Estimator will need to have from the outset.

Work pattern: Monday to Friday (8.30am to 5pm, including a 30-minute rest break)
