Make a Date: 2025 – The year of quirky celebrations and national fun days.

By December 18, 2024Blog, Home

This year we have moved away from our usual ‘tent’ format in favour of something a little different. Say hello to the 2025 desk diary, a multipurpose book that you can throw into your bag or put in its little recyclable stand on your desk. We have used this opportunity to produce a beautiful hand stitched hardback book, with an embossed cord texture, colorplan cover, embellished with glossy black foil and the result is a triumph!

With two hungry, B2, sheet feed, Heidelberg presses to keep busy here at Fine Print, books and brochures are our bread and butter.  Both of our XL 75 presses are five colour machines, one with a dedicated coating unit, the other with Low Energy UV drying, perfect for uncoated and synthetic materials. For the usual Fine Print high quality, they can both run at speeds of up to 12,000 sheets per hour, which has come a long way from the 250 sheets per hour of Gutenberg’s original printing press, so keeping these big beasts busy is one of our main priorities.

Our fun theme this year is all about celebrating national, international, world and just downright fun special days, after all who doesn’t need a helpful reminder to book Wednesday 8th January off work for national bubble bath day! We have embraced a retro feel for this project and created original imagery with the help of AI and our creative team using specific prompts and a little photoshop magic. The book comes complete with its own desktop stand, simply slot together and prop your diary up on your desk. Made from a sturdy cardboard, the stand is fully recyclable in normal household recycling.

Here at Fine Print, we produce books of all shapes, sizes and bindings. Perfect, saddle stitched, centre-sewn, section-sewn, wiro or spiral bound to name a few. If you have a book or brochure project in mind do Get in touch and one of the Fine Print team will be delighted to help.
